Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. Along with BJJ as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, Ladd had her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd built on this victory and then went on to a three-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round of all fights. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen started her professional career in 2015, signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta 16, she was able to move from Bantamweight to her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her in the third round by TKO (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however Aspen won and beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last fight for promotion. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina, and ground-and - hit her for a TKO win in the second round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd beat Evinger to the punch in the first round and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks to win her first major fight. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya in the third round of UFC at ESPN 7. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC in UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was unanimously decided in her favor.
